BCS Gives Back: Wags and Wishes

Throughout March, we collected wish list items for local animal shelters around our offices and sponsored 31 animal adoptions at the Washington County & Johnson City Animal Shelter.

We have so many animal lovers at BCS that it was a no-brainer when we made the decision to spend March giving back to some furry friends. Employees brought in wish list items for animal shelters near our offices that were then delivered at the end of the month. Items included toys, treats, canned food, dry food, bedding, towels, and cleaning supplies for the shelter. On top of the wish list donations, BCS also sponsored an adoption each day of the month so that 31 pets could find their furever home.

On this week’s Tails and Paws segment, Mark Reynolds from WJHL and Tammy Davis shared that the shelter had 61 animals adopted last month and thanked BCS for contributing to 31 of those. Watch the segment here!

I adopted my cat, Riley from the Johnson City/Washington County animal shelter 16 years ago. He has brought me so much joy and love, I just can’t imagine my life without him. When BCS gave me the opportunity to organize donations for the animal shelter, I knew it would be rewarding and fun! We were able to collect and donate multiple items from the shelter’s wish list and covered adoption fees during the month of March. Giving back is so important and I’m glad I was able to be a part of this.
