My Role at BCS
I joined the BCS family in January 2019, with the Shorter, Carden, Mitchell and Gray merger. I’m currently a manager in the Managed Accounting Services Department with a crossover in Tax. I love helping our clients with everything from setting up a new business to individual tax planning. I enjoy working on financial statements, payroll tax returns, business tax returns and individual tax returns. I especially love managing my department, being a mentor and having the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.
Education and Experience
I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from East Tennessee State University in 2009. In October of 2012, I started working for Shorter, Carden, Mitchell & Gray as a staff accountant and received my Master of Accountancy degree from East Tennessee State University shortly after. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
Community Involvement and Personal Notes
I live in Johnson City with my husband, Jeff. We enjoy watching SEC football, going on adventures with our golden retriever and spending time with family and friends. I’m blessed to participate in many of the service projects we do as a firm such as ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. This is one of my favorite community service opportunities because I enjoy meeting new people and raising money for a great cause.
