Effective September 21, 2022, the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors will no longer require contractor license applications to be reviewed at their board meetings. Individual Board members may review, consider and approve contractor applications any time.

Remember that a financial statement review or audit is required for licenses up to $3 million and an audit is required for $3 million or above. No increase in license amount will be considered within the first 12 months of licensure.

More information on the new ruling may be found on the TN Secretary of State website.
