Tennessee’s New Unemployment Insurance Website

by | Jul 7, 2025 | Assurance, Blog

Big news from Rocky Top! Tennessee is the home of the Vols’ Peyton Manning, Dolly Parton’s amusement park Dollywood, Elvis Presley’s Graceland, and, now, a fully modernized unemployment insurance system as of May 27, 2025.

In preparation for its new system debut, Tennessee started denying access to its old systems. On May 2, 2025, the TNPAWS and Third-Party Upload (TPU) systems ceased operation. As of May 3, 2025, users are unable to submit payment or file Premium and Wage Reports.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the new system went live on www.jobs4TN.gov.

Upon arriving at www.jobs4TN.gov, three diverse types of users will find varying features pertinent to their classification.

Existing employers will be granted full access to their account, and do not need to update any information. Existing employers will have access to a user-friendly online portal that allows for account management, wage report viewing and payment authorization, reviewing reserve amounts and past and present tax rates, and management of unemployment benefits and tax.

New employers will service themselves into a paperless account registration by selecting “Register My Business,” after which their account number and employer rate will be instantly provided. Chatbots answer questions and relay instructions for requests submissions. You can also grant your Third-Party Administrator (TPA) account access.

Third-Party Administrators (TPA) and Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) will have paperless self-service account registration for clients. All client accounts can be located and managed from one central portal for unemployment benefits or unemployment tax.

As great as that announcement is to users, wait, there is more good news.

More new features include inactivation and reactivation of your account, and amending and filing of wage reports. The option to be communicated with via paper mailing notices or by signing up for electronic communications is now available. And, when you need to talk to a state agent, just securely communicate through your web logon.

I am positive using the new unemployment insurance system will leave you feeling as happy as after you have washed down a barbeque sandwich with a glass of sweet, iced tea.
