My Role at BCS

I am an Associate in the Client Advisory Services department. My role includes bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement preparation. I write accounting articles for the BCS website and ClientTell magazine, represent BCS at accounting networking events and the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce CO.STARTERS program, and go to client locations to educate their employees on tax forms. I am a member of the BCS team that created and updates the Client Advisory Services Manual, a collection of instructional how-to documents detailing tasks done in the Client Advisory Services department.

Education and Experience

I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in December 2009 and a Master of Accountancy in May 2011. I have been with the firm since 2022. I am a 2023 BCS Core Value Award winner for We Before Me in the Client Advisory Services department.

Community Involvement and Personal Notes

I am a part of Marvin’s Chapel Methodist Church. I have tutored multiple people to passing grades in their high school and college math and accounting courses. I enjoy attending comic book conventions, ring announcing for professional wrestling, hosting writing workshops for teenagers at the library, and entertaining nursing homes with my stories and poetry. I have four poetry books for sale on Amazon (Positive Poetry, Smiling & Writing, Hope Rising, and Celebrating Life).
