My Role at BCS
I serve as a senior manager in the Client Advisory Services department.
I enjoy working with family-owned businesses and their owners/families and providing them with accounting and tax services tailored to their unique needs and situations. Over my 40 years, I have developed relationships beyond the accounting/tax services that I have provided. I have done this by taking the time to understand the business and the individuals involved. I strive to work with them, not for them, and listen to them in order to help them make the best accounting/tax decisions. I also fully understand that all decisions are not tax decisions and I work with my clients by providing relevant tax information to help them make their important decisions.
Education and Experience
I earned my BS degree at ETSU and began my accounting career in 1985 with Pugh & Company, P.C. I was there until they closed their Johnson City office. I was a founding partner of CPA Associates, PC until we merged with BCS in December 2004. I have worked in all areas of accounting, including auditing and thereby have a well-rounded knowledge of all areas. For my entire career, I have been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
Community Involvement and Personal Notes
I reside in the Gray community with my loving husband, Wade, of 45 years. We have been members of Celebration Church since 1998. We have two adult daughters and are new grandparents. Currently, my mother lives with us, however, whenever possible, you may find us on a road trip exploring this beautiful United States of America, attending a USC Gamecock football game or spending time with family and friends.
