My Role at BCS

I am a MAS/TAX crossover, which means I work in both the MAS and TAX departments here at BCS. I do a little bit of everything from working on payrolls and financial statement preparation to working on tax returns. I am a very social person, so my favorite part of this job is building a relationship with a client and being a source of information for them when they need assistance. I also enjoy working alongside my wonderful coworkers to finish projects and tasks.

I began working at BCS as an intern in the spring of 2022. I continued working part-time as an intern until January 2023, when I transitioned to become a full-time staff member.

Education and Experience

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in accounting from Austin Peay State University in the spring of 2018. After graduation, I decided to stray away from the accounting profession and ended up working in Japan for three years. I realized I missed my family in America, so I moved back to East Tennessee and got my Master of Accountancy degree from ETSU. I am currently studying for the CPA exam, so I hope to become certified in the next year and a half or so! Wish me luck!

Community Involvement and Personal Notes

I attend Discovery Church in Bristol with my boyfriend, Drew. I’m also involved with a local sports league and play indoor and outdoor volleyball with a few other BCS employees. Through BCS, I am able to volunteer for various community projects throughout the year, such as ringing bells at Christmastime for the Salvation Army and participating in the United Way Day of Caring. A few other things about me are that I love country music, traveling, animals, and doing anything outdoors!
