My Role at BCS

My role at BCS centers around preparing individual income tax returns and working with businesses to create financial statements as well as required state filings. I enjoy the puzzle-like nature of my work in the sense of taking random papers and information and molding into a picture of someone’s financial reality. My favorite part of helping a client is hearing their sigh of relief at the end of a phone call when they know the process is complete and that they are set!

Education and Experience

I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accountancy from ETSU in 2021 & 2023, holding a 4.0 GPA throughout both. Upon graduation, ETSU’s Accountancy faculty awarded me the Fred C. Ward Outstanding M.Acc award and opened the door to possible adjunct work with them in the future. As of May 2023, I completed the CPA Exam & Ethics Exam on my first attempts, leaving only professional experience between myself and the CPA designation. Most of my work experience was within the retail sector and academics, therefore what I bring to BCS is a teach & learn mindset as well as a diverse public communicative background.

Community Involvement and Personal Notes

When I am not footing balance sheets or self-reviewing 1040’s, I spend my time with my fiancée, Brittney. We enjoy hiking, working out, and being a little too competitive with cards and chess. We are also set to get married in June of 2024! In my spare time, I love listening to music, playing guitar, and learning languages. I am teaching German to Brittney this year and am preparing to learn Arabic with a good friend of mine come Winter!
