My Role at BCS

I work at the front desk of the Kingsport office.  I wear a lot of hats within the Administrative Department in Kingsport – I greet clients, answer the phones, process tax returns, prepare monthly invoices, help coordinate office celebrations, and assist with other things that arise.  I even rescued a couple of goats in front of our office once!

My favorite part of my job is the friendships I have developed with the clients.  I love it when a client comes in and shows me pictures of their grandchildren or talks to me about the plants at my desk.

Education and Experience

My path to accounting took a few twists and turns.  I graduated with an Environmental Health degree in 1995, worked as a Technician/Administrative Assistant at a local engineering firm, and then stayed home to raise my children.  When it was time for me to return to the workforce in 2013, BCS worked with my busy schedule and gave me a wonderful opportunity.  I could not have been a working, single mother of two without the flexibility BCS offered me.

Community Involvement and Personal Notes

I am married with three children, a bonus daughter, and two sweet dogs.  I stay busy volunteering for the West Ridge High School Band, where my daughter is a percussionist, and I serve on the executive board of the Sullivan Central Middle School Parent Teacher Organization.  When time allows, I drive dog rescue transports, where I help transport shelter dogs traveling to their new homes or rescues.  In my spare time, I enjoy flower gardening, bird watching, and spending time with my family.
