Week 8 – Children’s Advocacy Center of Sullivan County

The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Sullivan County is to “combat child sexual and severe physical abuse by coordinating and providing services to children and families in a crisis in a safe, caring environment.” The CAC provides counseling, medical exams, protection services and other services to children who have been physically or sexually abused. Sullivan County had 715 cases for abuse open at the end of 2009. That statistic does not count the number of cases open for neglect.

We were able to raise enough money amongst ourselves to buy a Wii game system and an extra remote, in addition to the donated toys, television, books, and movies.
