BCS sponsored Hands On! Regional Museum‘s annual Tea & Totes Fundraiser. Hands On! has welcomed 1.5 million visitors since they opened in 1987, and they average about 70,000 visitors each year, including 40 school systems in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. Their mission statement is “to create a dynamic, educational, fun environment which stimulates discovery, thought and understanding through interactive exhibits, programs and events in the arts, sciences and humanities.” Their exhibits include things like the Eastman Science Lab, an art studio, a bank, a grocery store, a coal mine, a TVA dam, and Noah’s Ark, among many others.
