Lee Denim Day 2008
Each year October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We wanted to raise awareness about this disease as well as raise money to help find a cure. Many of our loved ones have been affected by this disease and we felt this was the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to those people. On the first day of the month, we passed out information about who can be affected by this disease, prevention steps, and websites that could provide more information for anyone who had further questions. Throughout the month of October, employees participated in games and activities, ate food and had lots of fun, all for a good cause. Also on Fridays, the partners agreed to allow the employees to wear jeans if a donation was made to Lee Denim Day. We were very excited to wear jeans and many people participated. Our end result? BCS raised $1,363! This amount far exceeded our expectations. We are grateful for each person’s contribution.

Salvation Army Christmas Stockings 2008
Thanks to the efforts of several BCS employees in our Johnson City office, 35 stockings were filled and delivered to the Salvation Army December 8th. They were filled with school supplies, toys, stuffed animals, hats, gloves, and much, much more. Each stocking was designated for a boy or girl in various age groups. Some stockings were also filled for senior citizens. The stockings were given away during the Annual Toy Shop held by the Johnson City Salvation Army.
