Kay Pickering

Kay Pickering is a staff accountant in the Kingsport Office working in the Small Business Consulting and Tax Departments. She began working at the firm in January 2005. She graduated from Northeast State Technical Community College in 2004 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science – Business Management Technology with concentration in Accounting. She has since mastered her QuickBooks Certification to become a Pro Advisor and is currently studying for the Certified Bookkeepers Exam. She works on all aspects of monthly services including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, sales tax returns, and financial statements for several of the firm’s clients. She provides on-site computer support for clients with QuickBooks and Peachtree Software. She is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. Kay currently attends Milligan college pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Kay was born in Kingsport and moved to Florida at the age of 5 with her mother. She later moved back to Kingsport at the age of 14 where she eventually graduated from Sullivan South High School in 1993 with an Honors Diploma. She is married to Dalon “Pickle” Pickering and they have four children, three girls and one boy. Her children are involved in numerous sports with their school and community. Kay enjoys playing softball, watching her children play in sports, and playing Rook with friends on the weekends.
